Our Editor Tried Celery Juice For 2 Weeks And Here Is What She Thought

Our editor tried celery juice for two week and here is what she thought 

Every year we get inundated each January with the latest diet food, the must have ingredients to make yourself healthier and basically how to loose weight fast bla bla bla. We don’t often find ourselves dieting because you set yourself up to fail (in our findings )

We live buy you want some cake, you eat that cake girl and then eat healthier for the rest of the day. Some days all we want to eat our pancakes for breakfast, McDonalds for lunch and cheese for dinner, and thats ok – not everyday though – everything in moderation of course, Anyways this January we decided to look into the celery juice craze that seems to be taking over the internet right now.

The main reason I decided to give this a go is because I have rosacea and have to take antibiotics forever to keep me from having a breakout. Those of you who don’t know what it looks like click here. Anyways, i’d heard some good things about the benefits of celery juice from Instagram stories as lots of bloggers seem to be on the juicing bandwagon.

Day one – I had huge amounts of energy and I mean huge – I couldn’t sleep the first night at all because I just wasn’t tired.

Day two – five – I’d say the same as day one. I was full of energy. Any crisps and chocolate cravings disappeared  (I ate crisps every morning for breakfast – yikes) and I was feeling full up for longer (I hadn’t changed my diet all all during this two weeks – except for the crisps because I didn’t want them).

Day 11 – My acne part of my rosacea has disappeared. My face is still slightly red which never used to happen to be honest, but apparently it’s detoxing my liver and it will bring out old/new problems related to rosacea to completely clear it up.

Cons
* It’s really annoying getting up to juice a whole packet of celery every single day. You also have to clean the juicer straight away otherwise your house will stink of celery.

* Celery smells!

I will continue with celery juice every single day as annoying as it is, because I am seeing the benefits and the fact that my skin is clear is hugely beneficial.
