You know we love an afternoon tea here at EastbourneLifeStyle HQ. Today we went a little bit further a field and went on over to Bannatyne’s in Hastings for some tea and cake.
The grounds of the Bannatyne’s Spa Hotel are amazing, so it was a beautiful setting. The weather wasn’t great when we went and it wasn’t until we left that the sun came blazing out, but that being said we still sat outside to look at the beautiful flowers and apparently to make friends with a couple of seagulls.
The sandwiches included the usual cucumber also beef, ham and egg and a small salmon and cream cheese bagel – which we have to say was the favourite of them all.
Next up we went for scones. There were four scones included in our tea and we’re not even ashamed to say that we had 2 each – whoops. Which unfortunately didn’t leave a lot of space for the cake selection. However, that didn’t stop us from trying!
We’re not 100% what the flavour of the coloured one is – maybe berry, but the chocolate looking one was coffee. Both were yummy, but as we mentioned, we were so so full. Maybe best time we will start from the too and make our way down, with sandwiches being the last.
You also get a choice of normal English Breakfast tea or herbal infused tea. We went for the breakfast tea as it was soooo good. We will definitely be coming back for afternoon tea throughout the Summer and more importantly on a sunny warm day so that we can sit outside again. Have you been for afternoon tea at Bannatyne Spa Hotel in Hastings before?
