We’re slowly making our way through every afternoon tea place in Eastbourne and we think we might have found our favourite, for the time being anyways. Today we headed on down to The GrandHotel. We’ve heard mixed reviews about their afternoon tea, but we can safely say that it doesn’t disappoint. The champagne and the cake were beyond amazing and the selection of cakes was so so good.
There were 3 of us and we split all the cakes in to 3 so that we could all try a bit of everything. Also we had a birthday girl with us and the staff brought out another slice of cake for her, which was a lovely surprise, that her husband arranged. The sandwich selection was the usual – salmon, cucumber, egg and chicken all equally as nice as each other
The staff were lovely and very helpful alwaysoffering to re-fill and refresh your tea pots, which isn’t something we’ve had before.
The tea is a little bit pricier than other afternoon tea places – £33.50, but it comes highly recommended from us and we can’t wait to again.
