7 reasons you have to watch Mama Mia: Here We Go Again
1. Christine Baranski has some great one liners
Christine Baranski and Julie Walters are such a great duo. So funny, but they are great by themselves also. Christine’s one liners had us in fits – ‘Be still my beating vagina.’
2. You’ll enjoy it even if you’re not a huge ABBA fan
We’re not ashamed to say that we don’t actually like ABBA – or rather we thought that we didn’t like ABBA – but when the music is in the context of the movie, we loved it.
3. Cher singing Fernando will crack you up – in a good way
We had no idea that share played such a part in this movie. She was great – her character was fab and her singing Fernando was brilliant and hilarious (the reason she was singing it, not her performance)
4. Julie Walters is HILARIOUS
There is nothing else to say she is just so funny throughout the whole movie. ‘My soul mate might actually be carbs.’
5. Colin Firth is hilarious
He is just so bloody funny. He always plays quite serious characters and this movie is no different really, so seeing him dancing, messing around on a boat and doing the Titanic (you’ll know what we mean when we watch it) on route to the Island really had us laughing.
6. Mummy/Daughter moments will have you well up
Without giving too much away about the movie – although you will know what is going on from the previews – the mother/daughter part of this movie will have you trying to hold back the tears and want to hug your Mum that little bit tighter.
7. The Music
The music and the movie have been bought together perfectly. We actually bought the ABBA movie soundtrack as soon as we left the cinema and sang ABBA all the way home.
