7 reasons why we love the new shopping centreĀ
We’ve seen a lot of hate on the new shopping centre on Facebook in the last couple of months and we just don’t understand why people hate it so much, especially when it’s not even finished yet! We get that no one really likes change and it’s been slightly inconvenient, but it’s already a massive improvement. We have more shops, we’ll have new restaurants and a brand spanking shiny new cinema on it’s way.
1. Ever since Churchill Square got their refurb years and years a go. We have been hoping to get a new shopping centre in Eastbourne. It’s been a fair few years.
2. We finally have a H&M – an actual H&M – we’ve wanted one for ages and now it’s on our doorsteps. Yaaaaaas.
3. A bigger New Look. We’ve had to deal with a sub par New Look FOREVER! The fact that it is the size that it is now is amazing and we get so much more variety in stock which is fantastic.
4. Flying Tiger – you’ll be so thankful for that shop in December when you need to fill your kiddos stockings up on a budget. Great little shop for the most random of things and also brilliant for all the events throughout the year – V-Day, NYE parties, Christmas, Easter and all the rest.
5. Jack Wills is a fab place for younger kiddos to shop – by younger we mean teens and also uni students. We’ve also overheard some grannies in town saying how useful the shop is as it’s their grandkids favourite brand and they can now buy them pressies without using the internet.
6. The new cinema. Cineworld down the harbour has needed some updating for ages now, but held off because they were moving. We’re excited to have a cinema that lets you pay contactless and with any luck might be able to have better control of the heating.
7. NANDOS – if this doesn’t make the Uni students of Eastbourne happy then we don’t know what will. We love Nandos so we are pretty excited to have one in town. Even better we can have a Nandos, then go to the cinema. Best way to spend an afternoon.
