5 reasons to go and watch Dumbo
1. Nostalgia
We are in our 30s and Dumbo was one or our favourite Disney movies back in the day. It always made us cry, but we loved the flying elephant and it was nice to go and watch it at the cinema as an adult, although the story was slightly darker, but the same at the same time. No stork delivered Dumbo to his mum though (insert laughing emojis here).
2. Danny Devito is in it
We love him – he always makes a movie
3. Tim Burton directed
He makes some cracking movies – weird but cracking. What he did to Dumbo was really great and strange and cute and a teeny bit scary all at the same time.
4. The filming
We can’t think of the proper word for this but the way it was filmed and how real the animals looked was brilliant. The animals didn’t talk in this one, but they looks AMAZING.
5. The cast
We know we already mentioned Danny Devito, but the cast was brilliant – Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton and a very familiar looking girl, but we couldn’t quite work out where we recognised her from who turned out to be Thandie Newton’s daughter – Nico Parker.
