Where to stay
Signature Living Apartments
Signature Living is part on the Shankly Hotel and this was the option we went with – not the above room though. They have lots of different apartments on offer with different themes and bedroom sizes. We stayed in one that could sleep 14 people – had 3 bathrooms and a kitchen/diner. Perfect for getting ready and making all the noise you want. This was right in the city centre, so you couldn’t really get a better location. Also the price was fab.

The Shankly Hotel
We spent a lot of time here and it is so central and also very well priced, so 100% recommend staying here for your weekend in Liverpool.

Where to eat
Afternoon Tea at The Shankly Hotel
Fabulous afternoon tea – great price as well for just £25pp. We had the Gin and Tonic option for afternoon tea, which we would highly recommend. Loved it.

Carpathia Champagne Bar & Restaurant
Great venue for a lovely dinner. Even better if you get to have drinks outside on the balcony. Food choice was good and it came out look very pretty. We’d recommend the steak – buuuuuuuut check your chips aren’t so burnt they don’t have any potato in.

Where to drink
Alma De Cuba
This bar was a lot of fun. It used to be a church, which has now been converted into the most perfect bar/restaurant. Be warned though, it does get incredibly busy, literally can’t move being pushed busy. Great night and great entertainment

Garden of Eden
Great place to chill out and relax. Even better if the sun is shining and fantastic to spend the afternoon drinking prosecco with the girls.

Peaky Blinders Bar
This will take you further out of the city centre, but only by 10 minutes (walk) taxi is only £6. If you’re a Peaky Blinders fan you will absolutely love this. The decor is great, fantastic chandeliers fab venue and they have a whole lotta gin. You can find out more information about Peaky Blinders in Liverpool here.

Where to spa
Spa at Suites Hotel
No weekend is complete without a spa day. Our spa day took us out of the city centre in a 20 minute cab journey, but it was only £15 in a taxi, so not too bad. The spa was lovely. We spent most of our time in the thermal room, which had a rain shower, steam rooms, sauna, ice room, heated beds and some hot and cold foot thing (No idea what it was called). We all opted for a massage, which was amazing. The staff were really accommodating and friendly. Absolutely great massages with Decleor products.

How to get around
There were taxis EVERYWHERE and we mean everywhere. You will have no trouble finding one at any time of the day. They are all very friendly, great to chat too and pocket friendly.
