1. Smile: We promise, it will change your mood (not instantly), but it will certainly help.
2. Make the most of your down time: Don’t feel guilty about coming home and sitting on the sofa and watching tele all night then going to bed. It’s important to set some time out to yourself – do what you want. Take a bath, do anything you want and chill out (without your phone).
3. Plan something fun: It doesn’t have to be a big outing – something as simple as come dine with me nights with the girls can be a great thing to look forward to. It’s so easy, in this day and age, to just go along in your daily life and forget about friends and poof before you know it you haven’t even seen them this year.
4. Appreciate the little things: It’s easy to get lost in the I want, I want lifestyle and feel sad because you don’t have those shoes or you don’t have the car. We know – we really do – that is probably where we fail the most. So we thought we’d start to appreciate the little every day things. Such as coming home from work. Going home after a long day makes us happy. Puppuy cuddles – you gotta appreciate those pesky pups because one day they won’t be there anymore. A cup of coffee in the morning or simply watching Hollyoaks on a cosy sofa in the evening.
